If you're a Geminian you'll either love or hate the opening number. Okay, but is it true? Anyway, Chris Leslie's fiddle is certainly the real thing. On this album you'll also encounter alchemists, banking tower-blocks, wolves, metaphysical seascapes, manuscripts of all descriptions, foxy ladies, a space/time Blues, an enigmatic masked woman at the wheel of a sinister-looking car, atavistic Irishness, Princess Diana, psychic smuggling, aching hearts and Chinese carvings in the Ashmoleum, mobile phones, and an attempt at a genderless love song.
This album has quite a raw 'acoustic' edge to it, even though it was all recorded in the studio. I suppose it's just how I was feeling at the time.

Between the worlds, behind the masks; she wears a thousand different faces, each with the same meaning. Ready or not, she'll be there to pick you up when the big day comes.
